• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Yeah, if you get all the exp from that first long drop, you should be set.

Nope

If I recall correctly they only get it to level 2.

You'll reach Level 3 if you get ALL of the crystals.
You won't fully max your exp, though. Just be at Level 3.
But when you use the Rocket Launcher on Ballos, you need only a few seconds to finish him. So getting hit and leveling down won't happen....

Well it's been awhile since I used those for the launcher so I wasn't quite sure. But I supposed this is related the problem that was first raised, needing to conserve missiles so they switch weapons to shoot with the snake and then have the launcher get the exp. But unless you plan to spam the second form of Ballos with the launcher, you don't need to worry about conserving.

Well, you'd only lose 3 missiles getting those Boxes, unless you use the Fireball or something that has some range going down....Compared to 54 Missiles max, I doubt that'll matter XD
Also, the best time to use the Rocket launcher is on Ballos' final form. The Spur can handle the 2nd one easy, and I killed the final form, first try, with the rocket launcher in mere seconds, XD
I'd go as far as calling it as easy, if not easier, than the first form. =D

Yes, but the person who started the thread said he had the snake and Nemesis as well. Meaning they can't use the spur, and I know that the rocket launcher owns the final form, I think that they should use the Nemesis on the second, hell, all other forms but the last. But say your trying to do a really fast speed run using that weapon set up. Then you would need to use the rocket launcher on the second form for a better time. And then I think every rocket counts when you use it on two forms.

Sorry to put you down, Mr. Kirby, but I find switching out weapons to level them up to be fairly easy, unless you need to get every single crystal. Practice makes perfect.
Mmhmm, yeah...Well, at least it shows that it isn't so difficult after all. I'll just think of my own little methods to see how everything will uh, fare out.

But it seems the discussion earlier here is that you can get the Missile Launcher to Level 3 if you hit all of the experience crystals in the first floor? o_o

From my last plays, hitting the first two crystals would get your missile launcher to Level 2, and then the drop down is a +40 experience if you don't miss. That makes it very close to Level 3, but not Level 3. D:

You pretty much hit it on the ball there now. The amount of missiles I have isn't an issue in particular (Never had been, but maybe it will be sooner or later), but the Nemesis on Part 3 isn't...er, the best thing ever...especially when shooting up to aim at Ballos's...Balls. (xD)

Hmm, how many HPs do the two forms have?
You could do massive damage to the second form with Duel Nemesis' {Courtesy of Curly} to murder him!

Well yes, it could be hard to avoid the crystals from the green devils, maybe you could use the snake by leveling it up early on? You could do it on the first floor and level up the launcher at points where there is a bunch of exp from killing many enemies (look at one of my earlier posts for examples) or level up the snake along the way.

Well that would work well for beating that form.

Hit his weak point for massive damage!
With a Spur, preferably, but if you want to do it the hard way that's brave of you.

Easy with Curly's help!
'Sides, we were talking about the What if
scenario where you didn't have the Spur... {Not that I'd ever skip it :D}

If you can't switch quickly then you could always switch in the item menu.

And as I said before, the menu button is further away then the switch weapon buttons, and with three weapons they're all just one button click away. Unless, you change the keyboard setup or used a gamepad.
