I nominate "Plot differences in Cave Story Wii" and "Why does Momorin have the Mimiga Mask?" for the Best Theories category, because I found the first one a bit intriguing, and the idea of the second one.

 

I suggest an award for "Best contributor to Cave Story discussion" and nominate X-Calibar (as well as retroactive nominations for the five years before this one)

Possibly also "Best unexpected return to the forums", and maybe something for best avatar/user title/signature/location/whatever

The unexpected part comes fom the fact that I am still here after my return.

 

I agree with everything DoubleThink said except the category for best signature/avatar/whatever. These aren't permanent, and so they're difficult to remember/link to. And we already have a wonderful thread or two dedicated to just that, so why bring the Kanpachis down steal their thunder?
"Best contributor to Cave Story discussion" (maybe we can shorten that) is a very good category that we should have had last year, although I don't know who can compete with X-Calibar. You guys are all cool, but just look at his post history.
"Best unexpected return" is a solid category, because holy jesus did we ever get a lot of those this fall. I'd have to nominate odin (the wind god) for that.

Oh, Dunc already nominated it earlier for TL;DR. Unless it can fit into best theory? Then again, it doesn't have to do with Cave Story at all, and I don't think there are any other theories about Pixel's other games.

I think we can just change "Best TL;DR" to "Best Post" because there's not a big difference. We've had a lot of good, long posts this year so I think we should take it seriously. Long posts are the most notable anyway, so that's what's going to get nominated.

Now, we've had quite a bit of non-Cave-Story-related art posted on the forums this year, so I think a "Best Art" category should also happen, but probably stay separate from the Fanart category. I have a feeling most of the nominations can be found in this thread but there are other gems scattered throughout the forums.

 

There should be a "Best IRC chatlog" category. Unfortunately, I have no nominations for it at the moment.
