Are these absolutes? A binary system? Just because I don't have a house and a family and a car doesn't mean I have nothing useful to say. And I'm offended that you think I made this thread to get attention.

->people who have a life, experience and maturity to give advice dont do so because they have a life

That is the single most stupidest thing I have ever read..I am on the verge of raging.

This is why all motiviational speakers are actually just washed up porno actors and recovering meth addicts

Don't believe what they tell you, they'll say anything for drugs.

Well only semi recently did some significant event occur which seems to be the catalyst for me getting out of depression. Won't go into details though. Sometimes I rescind and go back into a foul mood with irrationally negative thoughts but often when this happens I think "Okay, stop it, lets stop being in this bad mood yeah" and I start to calm down.

Eh, thought people might like to know, I don't really want advice on this because I want to figure this out myself and others giving me advice might 'spoil' my learning process.

Good luck then,
I was once troubled, everybody hated me, had many failures, constantly quarreled, was ruthlessly competitive and felt bad most of the time...
I have now a happy life, people liked me, I was the best student in the history of the medical university (60 years). Most of this is a result of reading certain books and of course honest personal effort. I could point towards you some writers who have helped me. If you want to discover yourself alone, that`s fine, it`d be a harder way - but definitely possible.
Never underestimate anyobody. I have seen many many uneducated man (involved in seemingly superficial things) being much smarter and nicer than university professors. "Rank", "education", "heritage" and formalities mean nothing. My grandparents were peasants and they were better AND SMARTER than 20 professors of mine. Don`t refuse any helping hands.
Again, best wishes :pignon2:

Tell us your class hours and we'll yell at you if you post during then.

OR IF YOU WANT GOOD ADVICE

Go there to see your friends.

OR IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY

Do it because an education is the most valuable asset you can have.
