I would not use a mod here for full reference. Try actual games.

Well, I said it was based off of Zelda II.. Fien dehn, It was kinda the mod, but mostly something else.
Here is deh short story of what made me do dis.
One magnificent night... Nahh, heh, One night, I was playing on a tablet and got MyBoy.. so later I was looking around at Coolrom.com for some good GBA ROMs, I found Zelda II, and I thought it would be good to get it since i've never played it before... (DONT JUDGE MEH) I liked the gameplay and I was in the middle of modding my terrible Robot Story before I started up the ROM. I liked the idea that Zelda II and Cave Story kinda have the same platforming, so thats what kinda started me up on the project. Also I was thinking about TF2 Story, but don't get me started on that.

I cab instead being inspired by a game, even if I would personally use that to make my own thing instead of something related to what inspired me. A Zelda fan mod is a lot more Meh to me than a mod with Zelda elements. That is its own thing. I've never really advised fan mods or following another games cannon, just because the challenge of creating a genuinely interesting world of your own. Not like no one should ever do it, but I don't see it working out unless you're REALLY good at what you do.

I do wish you luck, just keep your references open. An entire game based on Zelda 2, which also has the top-down overworld that is a major part of the other levels' design, then you may need to design your own stuff to filmin those gaps.

I do kinda have an idea for the top down stuff, but.. I kinda have it one way like you find it going through the platforming maps.

Google Translate says: Za Densetsu No Zeruda Monogatari Bajon One.

English Translate says: The Legend of Zelda Story Version One.

Oh hey, Error's house is no longer an error!

Okay, I first thought the "DING" screen was a graphical error, but then I found out that it was done on purpose. It kinda feels unnecessary to replace "Resume" with "Play!" in the escape screen.

Okay first of all
Google translate:
"the legend of zelda story version one" --> "Zeruda 1-wa no bājon no densetsu"
"the legend of zelda story" --> "Zeruda no monogatari no densetsu"
"you should stop using weeaboo japanese game name translations" --> "yes"

'weeaboo' means "a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games."
just using google translate to translate something from english to japanese is NOT being a weeaboo
examples are using simple, and overused, japanese terms like 'kawaii', 'desu', and 'baka', sometimes even 'sugoi', and 'senpai'.
just because he was bored and wanted to see what the japanese name of his mod was doesnt make him a weeaboo.

also, 'the legend of zelda story version one' is, yes, 'zeruda 1-wa no bajon no densetsu' if translated exactly the way i typed it
however, 'The Legend of Zelda Story: Version One' is 'Zeruda no monogatari no densetsu: Bājonwan', again exactly the way i typed it.
so technically, both of you were right, but the spelling was what caused you to get different results.

This probably doesn't matter, but it bothers me allot.

The translation should be something like: Zeruda no Densetsu no Monogatari: Ba-jonn wann
Roughly translates too: The Tale of the Legend of Zelda: Version 1

The 'Za' at the start of your thing is roomaji, basically sounding out the English letters and writing them in Japanese. The 'Bajon one' and, 'Ba-jonn wann' are the same.
and the reason why it's 'Tale' instead of 'story' is due to the fact that the translation of 'story' is used more often in a situation like, "I'll read you a bedtime story kids!"
'Tale' sounds more professional.

Alternatively, you could have: Zeruda no Desnstetsu Monogatari: ba-jonn wan
Which is a literal translation...

I don't really know why we all started this big translation fight, but ok.
