Balrog and PB's species and Dr. Gero and Nurse Hasumi's species are most definitely related. It'd explain their group involvement in helping the Gaudi's in the credits, and why Pooh Black haunts the old medical facility of all places, but I wonder why Nurse Hasumi doesn't seem to recognize PB(at least before the credits) since she apparently used to work there before he began haunting it. Maybe he looks different from when he was alive, or that she just didn't get a good enough look at him when running away?

Nurse Hasumi never saw Pooh Black, and had only heard the old clinic was haunted. We're guessing that Pooh Black haunts the place because he used to work there (makes sense in context with the credits), or he died of a fatal wound there. Perhaps he was in the process of recovery when the clinic was ransacked by killer robots.
Neither of the frog-things claimed to work at the old clinic, but it's probably safe to assume that they did. If Nurse Hasumi ever saw PB, it would have been when he was alive.

Although it`s funny how somebody like PB dies, recovers his body then starts to work as a nurse. It is like he never died or so. CS univers is strange, Mimigas disappear when die, that`s also not normal.

^ Except if using the blade at level 3, King seems to come back for a few seconds, if only through sheer force of will from wanting to help you out.

The LSD on the blade left from King might be causing Quote to have hallucinations.
Back on topic: Dr. Gero and Nurse Hasumi getting it on? It must get lonely in the Labyrinth.

They are mini-Balrog-species creatures.
Pooh Black is a ghost Balrog-species creature.
("Pooh" is African-American slang for ghost.)
Thats why,
in the credits, it shows Balrog as a nurse, caring for Gaudi.
That species must be, like, natural doctors or something.

1. The only attribute they share with Balrog is squarishness.
2. Yes, we agreed on that.
3. a) What? Prove it.
._.b) I was not aware that Aeon Genesis were African-Americans
4. The ending credits show Pooh Black, not Balrog.
5. From playing Cave Story you'd think all humans were geniuses, too.

I think that the two frog things are actually just advanced or 'evolved' forms of the basic Giant Frogs and Pucci. Maybe, because they weren't like the other frogs, they had to flee, and the Labrynith was the only place they could feel at home.

Also, Balfrog, anybody?
