The Island (Mod Contest)

is the contest over? LOL

 

I think this is over, why not delete?

 

1) why would we delete it, we only delete threads if they are god-awful
2) It's not over, shbeesh, DT hasn't done his yet and no jerky has been exchanged.

 

Bunping this so we can get this thing over with and start a new contest. Let the Jerky exchange happen.

Other people are still allowed to make something if they want, and between the lack of interest in this thread and the creative work people have already spent on Take 8 I don't really think there's call for another contest yet.

 

I'll participate then.

 

Maybe I should participate too, if this contest isn't over by the time I'm finished with both my mods... and I already know where to start. Somewhere familiar, just with some blocks in the way.

I just wanted to say that I haven't abandoned this project. I've been working on my mod for about three days, and had to stop.
But now i'm getting back in action and I believe the mod will be done about until wednesday.

Maybe I should stop working on my mods and start doing my contest mod... "A challenging battle that I have to fight in", if one could put it that way.

Already done with the first few rooms. No NPCs yet, but I'll get there. Teleporter's broken, door goes the wrong way. That's all I'm going to say. Except that some powerful equipment will be given at the start...

I'm totally working on it, otto made that org for me so now all I have to do is make the rest of the music and all of the maps on top of all my other mod/forum work

Ok, cool I will enter then. Quick question, I know this sounds stupid but does the art style have to be the same as Cave Story's.
What I mean by this is can you keep the theme of the island and all that stuff but then make it look like a Commodore 64 game
or GameBoy game?

Now that I've shown some evidence I'm actively working on this I'd like to ask to have until the end of the month, or at least an extra week after Sunday. Between my computer failing to boot, waiting for it to be repaired, adding everything back after it was repaired and having to go away this week for work I've only had about a week and a half where I can even access it and now my network card or something died just as I went to post this god damn why can't things just do what they're supposed to.
