Super Mario Crossover

It's the classic Mario for the NES, but now you can play it as Megaman, Samus, Simon, Link, and others; each one using their own gameplay.
They play pretty much as they would in their respective game, but with certain limits.
Namely, Link going from a birdeye-view RPG to a 2D sidescroller will change things, and Samus won't be finding a bunch of weapon power ups, so they'll be slightly different.
But, you get my point.
Defiantly worth a playthrough.
Or five.

 

I played this last week. Simon sure can break a lot of blocks...

 

The easiest person to play as is Mario. Well, at least until you find a Fire Flower. Not even Hammer Bros. can match the might of the Spread Gun or Wave Beam.
FYI, people, this game is awesome. If you won't play it, we're no longer friends.

Man, that's too weird to think about... wouldn't it be like totally freaky if some early Zelda game, like one of the main major games in the series, did that once and then like just suddenly switched back and never spoke of it again? Wouldn't it be even weirder if it went from overhead to sidescrolling (even with Mario enemies like goombas and bloopers!) in the middle of a game?! /terrible silly sarcasm

But yeah, it's incredible, I played this a couple weeks ago. Bill Rizer is overpowered most the time but Samus is probably my favorite for silky-smooth jumping control and the kickass Brinstar theme.

Oh, WOW. And I just went and beat all 3 NES Ninja Gaidens again like just a few weeks ago.. I can't wait for this.
