Dude, let him work at his own pace.

He's already doing us all a favour by putting in his time and effort into doing something for us, the least we can do is WAIT.

"When it's done", it's done.

Justin's right.

Anyway. There are already all the tools for modding but you just have to download them all. Not to take the wind out of your sails, S.P. cause I think it's great that you've taken the initiative to make this but the main thing this will provide is convenience in modding.

For all of you who are angry that it could take more than 3 years to make, just make do with the other tools you already have at your disposal. You'll get by fine

Well maybe what you could do is put all the ANP list at the side with the TSC commands. Maybe with some of these things you won't get as many over-answered questions.

That's a nice idea, I will see what I can do.

But, like most others would say, I think it would be good for a built in NPC editor for basic stuff such as HP, attack power, and speed.

It will have a NPC editor.

Plow said:
Well, great work with it so far! But I don't like the idea that there are "patches". That makes so no one can edit it. That makes people KEEP asking for the something to edit the mod, making the person who made it go crazy. Then people will want to use mods for an example to get how TRA or some command works, but can't. Well, it's all a matter of opinion, but in mine, I say no.

If people want it that other people can edit it, they can handle out the project files. And if they don't want it that other people can edit it, then it's just their right and you have to respect it. Plus I'm not making this a direct file editor, because you can screw up too much. Sorry mate, but this won't change.

Another idea. Maybe you could make scripting as easy as possible? Like say you wanted to make a heart capsule somewhere, then you could make the program make event #5000
since no place uses that. Then the program could add the code for the heart capsule. After that, it opens up a box and says "How much max health will it raise?". Then you would type it in, and the program would add ML+XXXX in event #5000 in the right place. That would mean that you just make a heart capsule, type in value, done! Makes a lot of stuff quicker. But it is already quick as it is, just an idea...

Uh, I might build in something like that.

So when will you release this version? I can't wait to get this version!

When it's done. But it's probably earlier done, than you might think. Because I have holidays soon and therefor I have much more time for it.

Fixed.

Thanks Justin.

If you all want to speed me up though, just keep asking about it and make as much input as you can. (feedback can keep my motivation)

Are there modding tools for weapon hacking? :(
Are there modding tools for editing the title screen color/the title screen? :(
Are there modding tools for frame rects? :p

No? O'rly? What a shame :p

We were talking about "tools" doing the work, not about assembly and hex ya fool.

Ever tried editing multiple frame rects with a hex editor or assembly compiler? It's a pain in the ass.

Wait, frame rects as in, like, mychar's sizes?

That would be cool... But I'd rather change something like weapon/bullets. :o

But what about a flag checker thing that searches for unused flags so you don't waste any?

:x Frame rects is everything rect related, not only mychar. This includes bullets, NPC's and so on.

He means, could you make a tool that would be able to find any flags that are unused.
Like, run a search through all of the room scripts to check for what flags have a <FL+ waiting for them.
Some of the new-users are really paranoid about running out of flags...
Even though there's like 8000 to use....

Oh hey, just thought of something.
Could there be an option to show what a room would look like after a certain event's <CMP's have all run?
It'd be really helpful for certain cases...

Don't know if it would be possible to make a "demo mode".
What I need are Beta Testers.
Just for testing out regular Stuff, not for having "a brand new version" for their mod to work with.
Anyone who is interested should post here or just PM me.
But I would need someone who is good at modding and knows the old SW and not just started before a week or something.
Best would be someone who has got ICQ/AIM/MSN/Yahoo/Skype or IRC or something.

I would be willing to beta-test. I have quite a bit of experience but I don't have ICQ/AIM or any of those things you mentioned.

I have windows XP, but I'm not sure if that has to do with anything.
In other words, I could beta test as well if you want,

Since you just randomly added me to skype, why the hell not.

Oh yeah before I forget: You need a Windows or atleast something that can emulate Windows. And you need the .net Framework.
