Should Ikachan, Guxt, Azarashi, etc. soundtracks be included in the music zip?

Sorry for the lack of a poll but I want to know your opinions about whether or not music for other Pixel titles such as Ikachan or Guxt should be included in the music zip.

 

Yes, definitely. Pixel has lots of great music outside of Cave Story, and that music should be in the music zip. Did you make this topic because I asked you to convert the Ikachan music? Also, Glasses has awesome music for the boss fight with the UFO.

I agree with Fuzz about the idea as well as the UFO boss music. I also like the hidden boss music in Guxt, and was quite surprised it wasn't in the PXTone Player ZIP with the rest of the Guxt music...

Yes it inspired the idea. Those songs were a bit of a grey area in whether or not they should be included, so I asked for everyone's opinion on the matter.

 

Should be fine, I don't see any reason not to, as long as they're in their own little folder to separate them from the CS stuff.

The music in the music zip are all in mp3 format. I need to convert those to mp3 format before adding them to the zip.

The point of the zip is to have all cs music in mp3 format so they can work with all music players and mp3 devices, with ID3 tags to save someone else having to do it, and combined in bulk downloads so that you don't have to download tracks one-by-one.

Besides probably the only place left for me to lurk is the Mod section. I have been here too long.

I'll check to see if I can extract it from the exe with resource hacker before I attempt that. Or is that what you meant?

I just thought of another soundtrack that could be included: the soundtrack for Die, Die, Galaxy. I know Pixel didn't make the whole game (the other guy was someone named BA2), but he made part of it. Just a suggestion for future versions of the zip.

Good point. I'll try to look it up, although Google translator may get in the way, since I don't speak Japanese. I'll edit this post if I find out.

EDIT: I can't find anything about who the soundtrack is by. The only websites I can find are the download page, a Doukutsu livejournal page about it, and a TIGSource article about it.

 

Does anyone here know Japanese? Maybe we can ask Pixel.
