Ever since I got Cave Story+, whenever I play the game, the top and bottom of the screen are cut off in fullscreen mode because everything is zoomed in or something.

Even when I change to a different screen mode, it's still in fullscreen. Even though I prefer fullscreen, I still don't know why it's acting like this. I can barely see my health or read dialogue. Any help?

you might have to change the screen scaling (sharp or stretch) because the game doesn't match the aspect ratio of most modern displays.

Actually i used this zoom to challenge myself, because health bars are invisible. Its pretty fun to play like this.

You can set the CS+ exe compatibility settings (under the file properties) to run under 640x480 resolution. This will make CS+ use the same full screen display as the original freeware CS. This will of course force a 4:3 game to display on a widescreen monitor, so it will be slightly stretched, however it generally looks better than CS+'s stretched output because it uses the graphics card to do the scaling rather than scaling via software.
