• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

This is my opinion as one who still composes with MIDI and has remixed multiple tracks (Cave Story included); MIDI shouldn't instantly be referred to as "low quality" since it is possible to adjust everything to make it sound better even than other formats. To me, it has its own sound :)

But I must admit, that when I heard the music for Sand Zone, I was disappointed since through the remixing of the music it somehow lost its original touch. Melodically correct and all, but it just doesn't feel the same =/

Only what I think, but I hope the other tracks don't sound the same. Else, I will be sticking with HQ Pixel music through OrgView :D

Considering the MIDIs are the originals, only improved...
Yeah. They can.
Wasn't the original form .ORGs?
Or is it the same camouflaged covering as .PBMs?
Besides, they didn't sound like .MIDI's to me...
O.o;

I'm sorry if I called them bad or something, I've got a huge collection of MIDI remixes from several games, and several of them are even better than the originals :D
But, half the time, they aren't, and sometimes even hurt my ears, hence why I've grown to slightly dislike them...

They are orgs, Pixel's own music format.

I wonder what music format the new songs use?

I thought they were MIDI's, for their tiny, tiny size.
{God, I wish SC supported those.....}
*Drools at the thought...*
