Quote's personality?

I think that the player's personality is imposed on Quote. For instance, the first time I played, at the beginning I imagined Quote thinking along the lines of "Oh God why is this shit happening to me? Hey look some cute rabbit monsters." He decides to help Sue and Booster just because he's a nice person, but doesn't really enjoy it. Then, after he meets Curly, he finds some worth in what he's doing. After he finds Curly in the Labyrinth, he really wants to defeat the Doctor and save Curly. Of course, the first time I played, Curly died, so... Quote got a little pissed off.

 

Noticed that Quote doesn't do a thing to stop Igor from hitting Sue in the mid-corridor cutscene? That's an indecie on the subject (what am I saying, by the way?)... um, the point is, Quote doesn't seem to be that kind of average do-gooder.

 

He probably didn't shoot Igor because Sue was in the way.

I mean, he just saw a giant talking rabbit beat up a smaller talking rabbit.
I'd be paralyzed with fear, too. O.o;

I played up twice, down twice, left, then right, then left again, then right again, and then I pressed B + A + Select + Start.
Then I got 30 lives.

Why not just jump over her? You know, Quote can jump four times his own lenght upwards. Or... walk around her.
