Problem getting a mini-boss fight to work

I'm trying to make a miniboss fight but i'm having a problem with it. The fight starts nicely but the event after you kill it doesn't trigger and the boss music keeps playing. I've used the 200 flag on the npc and that doesn't work.

It's a boss fight like the fight against the ravil in grasstown with no HP bar. And the boss fight triggers after you open a chest.

What's entity 302? On the death of 502 it calls the event, but 302 seems to be the same kind of entity.

302 and 303 are a few monsters that spawn with the boss that aren't necaserry to kill.

I think something is wrong with it.. i've tried everything theres no reason it shouldn't work.

I can't find the problem either... Kaeso tried this experiment on a bat.

He set flag 200 on it and it is supposed to play the event that makes it say "WHAT THE HELL" and it worked.

However... this Gaudi refuses to say anything...

NVM I found the problem it turns out you cannot do it with enemies that have a wierd death (e.g gaudis jumping back when they die, gaudi eggs leaving behind shells, buyobuyo base leaving behind gooey stuff). Well.. i cant avoid that.. now im going to have to think how to change the event.

Gaudi armor to be specific. Try it with butes, dragon zombies, anything that doesn't simply explode and disappear.

Nope, there is no way around it. I just looked at a scene from Jenka's nightmare because I thought there was a boss fight against 3 transformed sues. But it was against 3 sues and an Igor, the Igor was there because you can't connect an event to the transformed sue.

My theory for this is because it already plays an event when it dies (leaving its corpse) or in the case of the gaudi armor jumping back and exploding.

Well this held me back for like 2 months. Anyone else that is making a mod should remember this so it doesn't cause them grief.

Have you tried <CNPing him after GArmor died? CNP him into something else, might work. Unsure though

That wouldn't work because the event that plays when it dies (jumping back) cancels out any events you wrote in the script. I just put a purple critter in a very defended spot as the npc you need to kill.
