Prisons: A Cave Story Mod idea

The following is a mod idea I had:

You are a prisoner/prisoner of war in a prison camp. (Hence the title) Anyway, you escape and are on the run from, well, whoever incarcerated you.

Yeah, not the most original plot line, but I thought I might give it a try.

 

Go for it. With a premise like that the story will write itself as you go on.

Suggested title: Don'tDropTheSoap Story

 

Why "Don'tdropthesoap story"?

And why do I have a feeling that I am missing some obvious pun.

 

because in prison, you don't want to drop the soap
If it should happen to drop, make no attempt to retrieve it.

 

Whenever we got down by a lot in a game, my coach used to have us cheer "Don't drop the soap -- We're coming from behind!"

 

Yeah, I knew that I was missing something, though I've never heard that expression.

Just to warn you, it's short.

Very short, even for a demo.

 

I like it, but what happens next? How do you escape/live life in prison/die in prison?

 

Some things I noticed:
(I placed them in spoilers so I won't give any game info away)

In Cell no. 1, if you examine the bed you meet the Administrator it says "You need to visit to visit the Administration Building first!"

In the Administration Building, the "Administrator" (who just happens to look a lot like Kazuma ) says "Please remain in the waiting area untill you are called.".

After sleeping in your bed, the game asks if you would like to play again. If you answer "no" the screen will stay black, the music will continue to play, but you can run around and jump in the darkness.

I'm aware this is the first demo, so I'm just trying to give you things you can fix in the second one. Great mod so far!

There's not much to give away, I was considering adding the Nikumaru counter to see how quickly people could beat it.

But as it turns out, you made all those prisoners die!
