I use CE for pallet changes and tile sheet editing and BL for everything else.

Edit 2: Why do .gifs make single colored images all bleh. It is an outrage.
They don't unless they are saved with a downright horrible graphics editing program *cough*mspaint*cough* that can't optimise palette tables. The gif format allows for each file a custom palette of up to 256 possible colours, and they can be any colours out of a pool of over 16 million possible colours. The format is more than capable of what you want it to do. Blame whatever program *cough*probably*cough* *wheeze*mspaint*cough* you are using.

Just Wondering, What features does Booster's Lab have that Cave Editor does not?
Well, there's the hackinator, which is awesome because you can just stick an XML file in its folder and boom. Easy to apply ASM hacks.

Also, as far as I'm aware only BL lets you narrow down NPCs by tileset, type, etc. Plus, it glitches a lot less. Just don't screw around with adding/removing multiple maps.

Am I the only person who is incapable of using Paint.net? I only use it for Title screens, and only recently.

Did you ask Noxid first?
I mean, it's not like he made the program or anything.

Everyone knows Pixel made the game with Miza so why would I use anything else?

It's not officially illegal unless you put it on Limewire.

This is the only thing I don't like about BL

I want a CTRL+F search feature.

Uhh.. no. Pixel made it with his own editors PixMap and PixEve. Miza was made after Cave Story was released.

yeah you're kinda not supposed to fuck with it
one, you'll break it
two, you'll have a bad time trying to detangle the spider web of Swing components it's built out of

Question: Does Booster's Lab account for changes in the file-relative(but not program-memory-relative) offsets in the EXE, caused by the fun LZMA compression causes?
(EDIT: the reason I'm asking: CE, apparently, does not.)

it expects the executable to be uncompressed, there's no reason to compress it before you're finished modding and it makes things a whole lot more difficult
