So, I'm trying to make a yuki-nagato sprite (see here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=21ytHVFTbLQ) and I've come across some pretty plain problems. colors are distorted whenever I finally copy them to the .pbm

any advice?

Your best bet is to make the .pbm a 24-bit bmp first and then paste the image in. With the 16 color pbm paint can do some pretty funky things... You can always optimize the palette afterwards if you have something other than paint to mess around with.

copy loading.pbm

open it in paint

options > propoties

set from 'Black and White' to 'Color'

you can now use any colors you want.

open up any other .pbm and copy it into a loading.pbm copy

now everything should be in full colors.

edit: also edited the nemesis' exp values so that it's basically always level 2.

DUDE!

All hail this guy for finding the exp values! :p

...Was that wimper and music piece in the video inserted by you, or just playing outside the game? The Music sounds like a midi or Mp3, and I'm sure alot of us would like to know how to replace things like that.

Added that to my profile.

...

To make this post more informative, I'll post the offset that defines the fade animation of Snake lv1: 0x4193.
