The game doesn't suggest he gets hurt on an Outer Wall Fall (hahaha:). He falls to the surface and is never seen again by the Island's inhabitants, so it's a Game Over.

Well, he might be walking around enjoying himself on the surface, but that's irrelevant to us. And I guess my last theory on Omega was the most plausible, after all...

I find it hard to believe that a sentimental robot like Quote would just give up if he landed on the surface, he'd steal a helicopter, or make a plane out of birds, a paperclip and a piece of string, you know, RPG stuff.
