Was probably on his way out when he was struck down by Maikid who as we all know was undergoing experiments on red flowers. The doctor didn't quite die as planned so I assume the same of Maikid as he was the inspiration behind the doctor's plans.

We also don't know if Maikid was the one they were fighting, the game only says they were fighting one of the Crown Bearers.

Anyway, I think Roonil's idea makes the most sense. Misery hated to serve the Crown Bearers and when she saw two of them nearly kill one of the Crown Bearers she teleported them to safe places.

I said Misa put Quote in an entranced sleep and would be colse to regaining consiousness 10 years from then. The real cause of him waking up would still be the transmission.

Quote has black hair. You can see the fringe in the sprite. Also, he has the antennae in Pixel art. They are most likely transmitters.

And like X-Calibar said, it might just be too mutch of a coincidence for both Quote and Curly to be located near the only humans on the island [Tetsuzou and Jenka], although my explanation of that is so that Quote has a weapon or two in handy whenever he wakes up.

It doesn't make mutch sense to me either now that I thinque of it because Misamisa clearly says "Are you a soldier from the surface? I wasn't aware there were any left."
