No Damage in Cave Story+ (linux)

I think it's a little glitchy because... Well... I can't die... Ennemies either go right through me or they bump into me without causing any damage.

Although what really worries me is that when I first realized it, I was already fighting the ghost in the old clinic.

 

No Damage

I got Cave Story+ today as part of the Humble Indie Bundle, and I found that nothing damages me. No matter what I do, I cannot take damage, though I can still die by drowning.

Running the Linux x64 version of the game on Arch 64-bit.

There are no errors of any kind in the terminal.

I merged these because they're reporting the same bug.

Wish I could help you but I don't have a linux. Hopefully nicalis will see this.

Welp, a new build was uploaded that fixed the invulnerability problem. I guess this thread can be closed.

Except now, there's no music. Only sound effects.

 

Although he probably knows about these issues, you could try asking or reporting them on the humble bundle webpage... That little chatbox, should let you live chat with the support people; and surely they will relay any bugs you find.

I was able to fix this by removing the included lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0 so that the game uses the system lib instead.
