I can understand that it's easy to hype for because OMG QUOTE IN GAME but honestly if you ignore the crossover stuff it's clearly just another of those puzzle games between tetris and block matching games.
Hell I think they're kinda wrong about calling it a puzzle fighting game because you're probably only doing the puzzle part.

oh shit guys it's a puzzle game but they also like, fight somehow, and there's quote cave story and binding of isaac
yeah i totally agree with you miccs.
honestly it looks shitty. Even just the modeling looks pretty 2010.

If the puzzle gameplay is fun, the Cave Story fan service is good, and the price isn't ridiculously high, I'll probably get it. Otherwise I'll pass

Marketing Team: Add every characters we have rights to into that new game.
