New Complete Mod - Dave Story

Hi people! I am new to the forums here but I've been modding for a few months now. I just completed my first mod! I've been working on this for a while and I'm really pleased with the results. I'm hoping you all will enjoy it!

Did you just replace all the names with Dave and give you a spur at the start? Also you can keep activating the spur/health thing to get a health up every time.

 

I stopped playing at Mimiga Village. You barely did anything, besides replacing all the names with Dave. And of course, there's the problem with the sprakley bit where you get the spur, and you get health up every time.

At least do something to make this mod stand out a little bit, besides putting Dave in the place of other names and saying "OMG LOOK U GUYS I MADE A MOD AND ITS COMPLETE KAWAII!!!!!!1" Make the game harder, like for example: in the first cave you could add some tougher enemies and a lot more spikes...?

The spur thing was a mistake. That was a build of the game I made to playtest it quickly. The first post has been updated with the correct build version of the game.

Thanks for the comment. I don't want to spoil anything but there's a lot more clever changes that I have made. The game wasn't meant to be a difficult mode so I don't think it would be appropriate to add spikes to increase the difficulty of the platforming. I wanted to make more subtle changes to create a unique gameplay experience. Just keep playing and I think you will be very impressed by the interesting changes without sacrificing what made the original Cave Story so special.

Okay when i first started i thought "this is retarded and you are gay" but then it got kinda funny. Also so far i havn't seen any hacks, just daves.
