I'm trying, but I keep dying when he summons red bats.

 

The spur makes it so easy. When he fires the bats, stand on one of the stairs, and fire a beam up. It kills most of them. After about three of those, they're gone. Or just ignore them.

 

But I ain't with the Spur

 

Oh yeah, sorry. Spur lvl1 looks like polar star lvl3. Just shoot like hell. Oh, and use the booster a lot.

 

Though it may not mean much, remember that as long as you don't get smacked in the face with the crystal earlier in the fight, you *can* survive a single bat (-2hp). I'm sure it'll help a little. Not much else to say 'cept fire like crazy so you don't get dead-like.

I haven't tried it with Polar myself. The Muscle Doc's a pansy with the Nemesis equipped (even at 3hp, hehe), but without that... hmm, you may be in for some trouble. ;P
