Even if Nicalis put those features in, they'll all be buggy as hell and Tyrone will refuse fixing them...

I want to say that cave story feels like a game that is unfit for multiplayer imho, 8 players would just be insane if we don't even know what Nicalis is planning to unleash soon.
Mario Maker-like '''levels''' in cave story would mean that if the switch version still runs on something like TSC, it'd easily would have to be rewritten entirely(You can't just give the kiddies tsc and think they figure it out).
Also changing the main character to someone else in a vanilla cs run would mean parts of the plot and world have to be changed; Quote and Curly are easy to swap, but if one were to swap Quote with a different story-relevant character, it'd be kinda harder.
Though I'm not saying that would be an impossible task to do good, even though it will still be insanely hard if you don't want to affect any gameplay or flow of story.

But this is just what I would think.

 

I'm gonna have to give you an A+ for creativity, I find your screenshots very amusing. It shows that you've definitely thought about this and have a fairly solid idea for what a "Super Ultimate Deluxe Edition" of the game would look like. Unfortunately, this is just a pipe dream, especially if you're asking for NICALiS to be the ones to make this a reality.

but if a little to alter the levels. it is possible to make a game for any growth of the characters.

 

Competitive multiplayer does not suit Cave Story.
The mario maker editor format is great for mario, but mario doesn't have to handle a proprietary scripting language for its practically non-existent in-game events.
Using characters from other games as amiibo bonuses would require permission from copyright holders. And adding amiibo bonuses to a PC build for free would be a dick move after making the Switch owners pay for the privilege.
Last of all changing stage layouts to accommodate large sprites will not be well received.

they can make the game from scratch, but with the original sprites.

They can indeed (and mess it up in the process), but why would they do that? That would cost too much time and money.

 

with construct 2 . or Clickteam Fusion. this game is done quite quickly.

I love this idea, it'd be cool to pick a map, character and maybe have a little chat log possibly in the style of Cave Story, I am all for this idea. I'm sure all characters would be set to Quote's physics for the sake of consistency, but this looks like something I'd be totally down for. Also Dragon sisters mini is so cute!
