Edit by DT: Was regarding A Lost Land

Can anyone please tell me how to set the flowers on fire?

I have gone to all four and I can't do anything to them.

Thank you

Adam

Odd, you should be able to since - in game - you and Curly use the Fireball to set the flowers on fire. You mind sharing with me your profile.dat so I can test this out?

i am once again asking if the downloads are anywhere
for one i hope you're actually 19 and not lying about your age considering what Serri said
but for two while it doesnt look like the downloads are up anymore, judging by the threads (and what I remember from aar's video) im pretty sure theyre really short joke mods that don't really have anything actually pornographic in them (i don't think that's Allowed on these forums anyways)

They absolutely had pornographic material in them, they're based on these fake screenshots that Dasu posted in her joke thread for "Porn Story". There's a reason why Dasu now has that thread deleted, and it's best to leave the subject alone. As for ShinigamiMachine, I hope they're up to endeavors that are far up high in comparison to the NSFW Story trilogy.

Just that. Whta's your opinion on jenka's nightmare? I think it has bad puzzles and mechanics, but the story and and enviroments are really cool.

the overall difficulty sucks ass cause the design motivation seems to have just been 'how can we make this hard and THEN handicap the player more on top of it' and the puzzles are extremely obtuse and annoying at best (though i liked the sand zone teleporter one, once i wrapped my head around it), and i also dislike the final twist at the end of curly/quote being directly related to the sakamotos... BUT that being said, in a way i genuinely consider it one of the best cave story mods ever made, and as someone who enjoys making longer story-based mods, it's always been one of my biggest inspirations, purely because of the amount of effort that went into it comparative to its length:

- the puzzles fuckin suck, but they're complex in terms of design/scripting and obviously had a lot of thought put into them, so i can admire them for that, at least
- the save import mechanic is actually really cool and something that no other mod's really touched on afaik
- things like the journal, mr little - actually most npcs - having new dialogue every time a story event happens
- the maps can definitely be too big and it's super easy to get lost but they're very, very polished in terms of decoration/tileset
- all the optional little sidequests to get weapons or items, like the blade or the sequence-break quest
- the overarching plot of 'oh no the doctor is back!' aside, in terms of moment to moment dialogue and the way the characters and their relationships are written, i would consider it one of the best fanworks in that regard, it captures and writes the characters very well... up until curly and the doctor's final confrontation anyway LOL

i could go on but tldr flawed end product for sure, but something i will always admire for how fleshed out it is and the amount of effort that went into it - while it's absolutely not the only story-based mod, most (finished) mods are relatively short, or challenge-based, and there's not many that match it in terms of both length and polish

also a lost land wasn't that bad
