Mod Oppertunity

Ok so ive had a lot of time to think and i have decided to start a mod.
But not alone, I need help along the way.

Basic Story.

Cave Story has ben and past and it is time for a new legend to reveal itself.
Quote lives happily with Curly and ballrog on the surface. But peace is far from the terror which the island is facing, A new face has risen, when Quote was created so was his brother "Shadow". after been created along with Quote he was to be deployed with Curly and Quote to destroy the demon crown, On the island the mimigmas saw shadow as a killer robot and tried to destroy him, he was finnaly defeated and tossed off the island by arthur.
Strong winds pushed him sideways and he was plummeted at the very bottom of the island, Beneath the sacred grounds, Beneath the labyrinth, in the "Unknown". After the island shook so badly in the fall in cave story he was awoken and now all he knows is that his mission to pay revenge on the island for what they have done...

Yes to the first, yes to the second, and yes to the third. (Aren't I talented, hmm?)

Although, your more likely to get facepics and music, then sue's workshop.

So, facepics (definite) and music (if needed).

I might be able to help with commands, though. I'm not gonna make the mod for you.

now, on the topic of your mod, It seems that you have people working in every available position except for scripter, and when presented with tsc (which shows you how to do cutscenes), you say that it looks complicated (maybe it is a tad, but...). well, whatever, make sure you're doing work on the mod and not having other people do it for you. The best way to get help for a mod is to present a good start, and people will say "hey, I can edit graphics, want help?" etcetera. look at tdp for a good example of this. so, I dunno, take a crack at it before enlisting other peoples help, they might (will) become annoyed if you quit.

oh, as for this:

it would be assembler/hacker, and this task is really, really (really) hard. like, neigh impossible. it would take up way too much space in the exe, and most hackers wouldn't even know where to start. (also, if you want org makers, why would they work if you're just going to replcae them with mp3s in the end?

Right i have had experience in sues workshop before and i had about 5 mods before my pc decided to stop working and i hadnt signed up on the forums. so i am pretty good on this sort of stuff and thank you

I am helping. I'm trying to discourage him from writing a story that takes a character like "Shadow" seriously. I suppose I could try better methods, though.

Well then Jethawk, I apologize for the brashness and profoundness of comment earlier. Nevertheless, "Shadow, the evil twin of Quote" still sounds like a faggot. If you actually make this mod, it shouldn't take itself too seriously.

And the whole concept is pretty unoriginal I must say. The whole evil twin thing died awhile ago.

Plus, the whole 'Shadow' is just a rip off of Sonic.

"Shadow" is the most unoriginal name. Do NOT give him a model number. Just give him a name.

Eh, it may be his first mod, if so, encourage, don't discourage. Even if it may turn out unimpressive, there's allways room for improvement.

 

If you wanna be SLIGHTLY more original (barely), and less... Faggish, to be frank, you might want to go with a name more... Robot-y...

I mean, Quote can't technically have a brother. He's made of explodium. You could be, like... Some old prototype or something... It'd still be pretty faggy, but we wouldn't have to hate you for the Sonic referrence. Name him Apostrophe or something along those lines... It's half of a quote mark (' - "), so if you want to continue with the naming theme.

Either way, anyone in any relation to Quote would make for a pretty gay mod, but if you're DEAD SET ON IT, it can't be a brother.

Nope the comunity project has been lifted up and we got a few people.
Ive already made some sprites to show people and i am trying to use orgmaker.
Cyowolf offered face pics and lots of other people are helping so its all good.

 

Yeah, technically, there are still people willing to work on the community project, so it's not dead. It might lag for a while due to everyone being in school/college, but I don't think it's gonna die.

And yes, I'm still in, just tell me whats needed. Send it in a PM, not a visitor message.
