Well, that's a good thing you're able to choose which one to do.

Sarcasm aside, I'm not gonna lie. None of these titles sound that promising. Then again, if WTF? Story didn't exist and someone asked me to choose from a list of mods to make and put WTF? Story on the list, I'd think there's no promise in it by the title. It's a bit hard to tell which one to suggest just by the title and no back story. From what I could gather, I chose Ninja Story because ninjas are cool, dungeons aren't that exciting, and love stories tend not to be packed full of action, whereas ninja stuff is.

I'd say ninja story. It sounds the most interesting just going by the name, though I hope you don't really plan to keep with those titles. Nothing wrong with it, but it's just a little overdone.

Yeah.... but for someone like your mod Cave Story 2, it sounded awesome but was an april fool joke..... So I'm gonna stick with Ninja Story, cus it has a better Storyline... Thx anyways tho.

K, I really just didn't do anything with the names..... I can't think of any good names at the moment so I will keep that in mind...

Love Story.

There is a free indie game called Love, and I just Love it.
You should look for it on Google, but make sure you include the words 'free', 'indie', and 'game' somewhere in there,
or else it might be difficult to find.

I thought Love was a very, very difficult game.
Even the free version has 20 levels, and the indie game just doesn't stop.
Each level gets exponentially harder.
And the last level gets hexponentially harder, as in two orders of magnitute above tetrational exponentiation.

Ninja story. The romance story would seem more focused on story telling and less on gameplay. And the dungeon story is not that interesting.

Anyway, would be good if you could feed us more details rather than just throw us a couple of names.

Does he actually need more details than this?

Great modders, when they have a wonderful idea for a mod, tend
to not post in this forum.

Instead of posting their ideas publicly, they first write down their ideas.

These ideas are written down as weird commands such as <TRA
and <NOD, and sometimes even weirder commands like NOP and PUSH EAX.

Suddenly, when they finally finish their idea, they don't actually
have to post the idea. They can just post a mod!

Whoa!

It is an amazing world when people start to think in TSC.

I tend to use this forum for posting ideas that simply won't work in
real life or have some major flaw that doesn't seem to be obvious.

However, lots of modders on these forums never use the ideas
subforum. The idea subforum for them is indeed the mod showcase.
This is because, when you write code long enough, you stop
thinking in regular human thoughts, and you start to think in Java.

If you want to say a sentence, you imagine the verbs as method
calls, the nouns as objects, and the punctuation as operators.
Your periods become semicolons. Your numbers become 32-bit.
Your list of things to do instantly becomes a method, and all
of a sudden you realize that your career plan is just a class file.
And once that happens, you find out that you are bottled.
Bottled tight, with no chance of escape. Your life is but a JAR
file that runs an editor known as Booster's Lab! And you wasted
so much time writing such an editor! Oh my goodness!

Well, that's that. I spend my life trying to find a good archive
manager trying to unzip the JAR file that is my life. :orangebell:
I am not sure about some other people on this forum though.

So yeah, I think that a few simple names for a mod
are enough. He already knows what he's going to do with
the names.

KaminoShimobe can code in JavaScript. In other words, his brain is
not made up of pictures and words. His brain works by generating
functional constructors and crazy closures that mess up every
environment diagram that you ever drew at university.

While most people tend to stick with C++ or Java, JavaScript
is actually a very powerful idea language, especially for modding
a game such as Cave Story.

I gotta say, Carrotlord, that's a pretty impressive post. lol

Anyway, what I was trying to get at was because he's asking what he should do in the means of a poll, it's kinda odd for us to vote without knowing more about each choice.

Some of us already voted though (me included). hafhahggja;kfhFHgkjGHGN NEVER MIND CARRY ON

I agree. Plus, those topics don't exactly inspire much faith. On more thought, ninja dungeon love story actually does sound more interesting than any idea posted above.

Well how about the story of a ninja trying to rescue the love of his life from an evil demon who locked her up in a dungeon.
Or something along those lines.

True Story
Welcome to Dungeon Ninja Love

... I guess if I were to pick a single theme, I'd go with Dungeon.
Don't think I've played a classic dungeons & dragons style dungeon romp on CS engine.
