Yeah, but the problem is, the game industry, like any other, is a market. And if a game developer looks at what's making money and goes, "oh cool, people like this and will buy it" chances are he will make that type of game. As long as people will pay for it, it will be made. Therefore, these things are effectively ruining video games as we know them.

So basically, that could be said the same about other markets. "Oh, you like memes? Try our new meme cigarettes!" "These things are effectively ruining cigarettes as we know them!"

I would legitimately take up my first cigarette if meme cigarettes were actually a thing. I don't know what it would look like or how it would taste, but something like that is bound to be amazing.

I don't know the first thing about smoking and addiction, but I believe it is an issue both mentally and in the cigarettes. You know about nicotine, right? That is the thing that makes people addicted to cigarettes (because your brain craves more after you've had a few). If they're addicted to cigarettes, they don't necessarily have a mental issue, but the nicotine is making them want more (even though nicotine itself supposedly isn't harmful by itself).

Going by the assumption that there was extremely minimal money put into making this project, any amount of money they get from people buying it will automatically be a profit.
