That sounds like fun, if only to laugh at how stupid you were when you wake :pignon:
Actually it sucks because I spend hours trying to make sense of what's going on without resting properly

Ah. Well, fun in theory anyhow.

That sounds like a serious problem. Is that every night? That's worrying. '~'

Not very often. Have you never been half-asleep before? I thought everyone did that :hoppy:

I've neither had any lucid dreams nor have I half slept, but I make up for it with the frequency and sheer absurdity of mah dreams :D

Lucid dreaming does not make you tired. In fact, being able to dream means you at least entered REM state, which, while never proven, is tied with good rest.

Perhaps it's because you were oversleeping or not sleeping enough that makes you tired?

That thing that happens when you lie completely still for 15-20 minutes? It's kinda fun yeah, nothing too magical, your body (mostly your eyelids) vibrate a bit and you might see a few faint colours.

That's Hypnagogic Imagery, not Lucid dreaming, if you're referring to that.

Though it might count as being 'half-asleep'

Many things can be arranged giving a positive suggestion before dreaming. The check of the conscious mind is the weakest then, and the suggestion would go more easily to your subconscious. Problems around dreams can be resolved that way easily.
