Level Editor made the game Unplayable

I was using the level editor and deleted the text that said "From somewhere, a transmition" with the text before and after it to try to get rid of it. Whenever I start a new game I appear somewhere blank, Quote is unseeable. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the delux package and it still doesn't work! Can someone give me the text it says or tell me what to do? I regret not making a copy file of the game

 

You might have deleted the <FAI0000 command at the beginning. This was the code responsible for lighting up the screen and showing everything.

If that's the case, all ya need to do is type that into the place that you deleted.

Reinstalling doesn't work? Hmm. That's strange.

 

Well, if you're using Cave Editor, click on Game Settings. Change the Start Script (I believe) and change it to either 90, 91, 92, 93, or 94. They decide on which direction the screen fades in. 93 would be good, I believe it is center, so it's a good beginning fade. It should work.

 

Neither of those worked, so I just jumped around and pressed the down arrow key to go trough the door, and I appeared in the next cave the way I edited it...

 

Can you upload your folder and show it to us?

 

to delete the "From somewhere... A transmition", all you have to do is edit the starting event to #0094 instead of #0200.
upload your "Cave Story" folder (not the entire deluxe) and we'll see the problem.
