So, would Arthur be the one who forged King's Blade?

The blade is made out of metal brought by human explorers. From what we can see of mimiga society, it's pretty clear that they don't have the technological capability to do large-scale metalsmithing. Most of the schizo-tech on the island can be explained that way.

Anyway, I'd blame the hermit gunsmith, although I wouldn't rule out an unknown mimiga making it...

 

But the Hermit Gunsmith is just that, a Gunsmith, not a swordsmith.

So there must be a Hermit Swordsmith somewhere on the island.

Here's where I know I can argue. Igor had run the egg corridor. He obviously could handle enough technology if he put a password and a barrier around egg 00, while still incubating the other ones.

Question: Misery's staff is probably made from wood, right? Where the hell did she get the wood? I don't see any trees around. Just flowers and small grasses.

What are the deadly spikes made of? Maybe, just maybe, she's had a special spike staff made for herself.

 

Then the question comes up why is it brown when spikes are red?

And the brown paint came from, where? Or maybe the inside of spikes are brown, never know.

So now the question is did Misery make it herself, or is there a Hermit Staffsmith somewhere?

 

Only a Staffsmith would be able to get a spike without killing himself.

 

But this must also mean there is a Hermit Spikesmith since someone had to put those spikes all around the island.

And I bet that the Spikesmith and the Staffsmith are brothers.

That makes sense, since one enjoys destroying the other's work.

 

And once again that brings up another question (we really should have a Hermit [insert word here]smith thread) if we have all these smiths around the island are they all related to each other?

 

I'd say they're more like a clan of Hermit Smiths. And I agree about the thread, though I'll not make it.

 

So they were trained off the island and sent there to bring their arts to the island?

Or maybe the other lifeforms that live on the island (not the Migmas or humans, but the other ones. I forget their exact name) trained them.

He was protecting the egg corridor, but we don't really know that he was running it. It seems much more likely that the egg corridor was set up by humans to breed dragons so they'd have locally-based air transportation.

Igor could have been taught how to use the egg corridor technology. Probably by the doctor with mind control, since the crown seems to be able to control frenzied mimigas, and the doctor would probably want to have the dragons under his control.

If that's the case Igor in a way was the one running the Egg Corridor since he was the only one there.
