Kero Blaster, A New Game by Pixel

Uh, looks enjoyable enough a game, but I've gotta say I always thought those comics were well... not good at all.

Yeah it is kinda nice that they're porting the game to consoles with buttons (who knows nicalis might port Cave Story to Vita as well), but I plan on buying the iOS version first.

I really enjoyed looking through the files when Azarachi iOS came out and now that Pixel has another iOS game coming out I plan to look through those too. Since it's not really possible to do this on the 3DS (yet), I see myself buying the iOS version as soon as it comes out.

 

nicalis might port Cave Story to Vita as well

And charge $75 for it too! Just like a real Vita game!

 

It likely won't be a physical release, so I doubt it would cost so much.

 

As off-topic as it is, look for "Ashens" 's review of the PS Vita (on Youtube). He hops on the shop network for a moment and finds the newer games on the system costing upward to 60 pounds to download, which is roughly equal to $90.

Or maybe the shop listing was in dollars despite him reviewing from Europe. Still, for a handheld console game, $60 is pretty steep on its own, but you should also note that they likely won't incorporate a 'bargan bin' section of an online web service, and would probably sooner delete old games from service than reduce the price. But it still stands to problem that you're paying $60 for a game that you could effectively lose forever if you're browsing porn on the console.

 

It's official, this is going on my list. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

Anyway, back on topic... would you guys agree that this new game seems to have an MSX feel to it (As opposed to Cave Story's PC98-ish feel)? You know, like the original release of La-Mulana.

Yeah I am getting a Commodore 64/MSX vibe from the game. It does look a lot more simple graphically.
