Great demo! A few comments:

1. I like the color scheme alot.
2. Remember to change the Quote drowning srite. It showa the regular Quote while drownind.
3. When I talk to the first save point I just stare at it.

Pros: Cool title graphics
Nice attempts to change the art
Story is very interesting

Cons: Much of the dialogue has not been replaced.
Many grammar issues
Why do I have to press 'z' at the beginning...?
You put a big critter in the First Cave, the sprite is going crazy -_-"
You can continue with the original Cave Story after reaching Mimiga Village.
Drowning Deathtraps :confused:

Overall I think it has potential, but the gameplay is very sloppy and feels rushed.

I know, I'm still getting to know the basics of modding. I can't do very complicated things yet.... but I promise the final draft will be much better

Oh-ho, clever. I really hope you get better, because there seems to be many things you can do with this type of mod. I'm awaiting the next demo- good luck!

The P. Critter is glitchy because it takes its sprites from a different Npc file. You need to have the correct entities for the correct Npc file chosen in the Properties of the map.
I will play this asap!

Oh yes! I almost forgot! In the data folder, if you look at casts, there is an extra someone my friends put in
