Cave story 0?

A prequel has more potential tbh cause there was the previous demon crown and all that background info that isn't actual gameplay.

 

But that'd just be called Cave Story Zero, no? I really am interested in seeing the prequel take place ten years prior to the main events, Miakid was most likely a way more competent crown bearer than the Doctor, so I am curious to see what had happened for Quote and Curly to have him fall and eventually die to his wounds.

 

I wonder if someone can make a sequel where the game would take your old save file and depending on the ending you got it would continue the game.
Tho jenkas nightmare is always there....

I would like to see a sequel happean after the normal ending or bad ending
I know there some mods that happen after the bad ending but it’s always in the eyes of another guy which does make sense but I would like to know how Quote doing after all this time :3 and
A sequel to the normal ending is easy to screw up but possible.
Like...What if Quote on a little walk into non humans places fell in a cave to discover another race of Mimigas.
Like the underground Mimigas who have some colored paws or something, and that later he discover that the doctor have been able too find some red flowers with some humans that lived in cave who thought that he was some god...
That actually a pretty neat idea.

what about you just made cave story but the doctor looked a little different and they didnt call him the doctor they called him whatever other people there were

and then itd be like a whole new game

The "sequel" is not even a sequel, so Cave Story won't have one, CONFIRMED!
It might have a spin-off, though.

Making a Cave Story sequel isn't so easy at all, as it would take a lot of passion and effort to make one.. But I honestly do wish you the best of luck on doing that.
