Hey guys! I made a remix of the Ikachan theme using the "Rytmik" software for Nintendo 3DS. I thought some of you might be interested, so here it is.

After becoming very frustrated and stressed about not being able to defeat The Doctor in Cave Story, the music from Ikachan proved to have a very relieving and relaxing effect. That was at least four years ago. There's no way I'll ever forget what that music did for me. :p So this is my tribute, this is my Thanksgiving, made on Thanksgiving Day, 2013-Nov-28. :)

I hope it is fine for this it be posted in the "Cave Story" section - I thought it was more appropriate than going somewhere in "Other Games".

Ikachan 3D, coming in a retailer store near you! I just had to say that. The quality's kinda like that from Cave Story 3D. It overall sounds good, though some channel volumes should be evened out a bit.

I like the percussion. The beginning chords came in a little too strong and heavy for me; I like the Ikachan theme relaxing because it is light and easy on the ears.

Although the contrast of dynamics between the first and second parts works well for me.

whoa, that's really awesome ^_^ some of the notes don't seem quite right, but I love the general feel of it, and the reverse cymbals are awesome too. I really loved how it built up to a really lovely climax, and then dropped down again to solo piano.
I've never tried using rytmik, although I was considering getting it at one point...
KORG M01D on the 3Ds is really awesome, so I can highly recommend it seeing as you (by pure guesswork) seem to like using music software.
Also, how did you record it from the 3Ds? It sounds like you either exported it as a really compressed file, or something made the actual recording low quality.

Yes, I prefer the original as well because of how light and easy on the ears it is, but this remix is not intended to compete for that role. :) It is meant to be an intense variation of the theme.

Sounds real nice! The intro's a little heavy, but otherwise really great!
