Sounds like Lithuania 15 years ago. Don't worry man, we thought our country was going to shit as well after the Soviet Union's collapse. All the private businesses that had emerged were one way or another controled by criminal groups (not gangs). They would extort, threaten, and even kill people if needed. But by the time the 21st century began most of them were caught. One of the leaders got sentenced to death, by firing squad. Anyways after most of the gangs and criminals were cleared out, some became legal business men who pay taxes, things started to look up. I guess it's similar in your country. And a similar future awaits you as well. You are in Europe you know. Hopefully you'll get in the European Union one day, that's what helped us the most even though it made the crisis affect us more in the future.

So don't worry. When I compared Lithuania now and in the 90s, we're in heaven.

Lithuania is hella bitchin compared to where it was in the 90s. If only every country could be so fortunate.

Yeah, Serbia had a bit of a collapse as well. They used to be a part of Yugoslavia. Eastern Europe is a pretty bad place, but it's slowly developing. It's just going to take a little longer.

This is ridiculous, I have no work to do on my shift. I know it's silly to complain about being paid to do nothing, but I actually have nothing to do. I can't stay on the computers for long.
I often wish I had something better to complain about.

First world problems.

Yeah, working in a library probably has moments like that. I really don't know how to reply to that.

So... You work in a library? If I have nothing to do and I can't use the computer I usually just contemplate. I set the events of my life in order, and set a course for the future. If I were paid for that, I wouldn't complain.

I don't sit and contemplate. I can contemplate when I am doing menial labour, such as shelving books.
It turned out alright, they scheduled a co-worker during my shift so we could do a two-person project.

I was participating at an International Symposium today.
Pros: I've met a famous scientist and changed contact info.
Cons: I've eaten some really bad carp, which made me leave early and later vomiting on the way back home at my pants, socks and shoes. :)

Woot, it seems I'll get to specialize cardiology after all. It's not certain yet, but things are looking good. I am very happy :(

Had extremely many life-death situations @ the ambulance yesterday...it was unusually horrible, that way that one of my nurses was totally "knocked out", but the other was shaken too. I've got very good nerves, so no shock for me, just I'm extremely tired.

Much blood vomiting and blood everywhere, abortus, resuscitation, 2 comas, (probably) infarction, nervous breakdown, arrhytmia, 2 of them died despite of first aid/medical help...

I have slept like 3 hours only...MUST GO TO ZZLEEP...

I'm much better. Maybe I have solved my problem which hunted me for more like 6 months, causing me not to sleep normally, nightmares, anger etc....eventually it's always like this: "sun shines and the shadows flee away".
