Actually, it does in a way. You need 250 before you get a custom user title, and a lot of people like their custom user titles.

That reason is because the posts made in the Gamer's Lounge & its subsections temporarily counted towards everyone's postcount for about a week or so before things went back to the way they were before the forum upgrade (When posts didn't count in the GL).MetaSeraphim said:
