HELP! THIS IS IMPORTANT

Question 1: I am wanting to have a cave story mod where you dont just have a single file! Kinda like king story or wtf story!


Question 2: Every time I edit a cave story sprite after deleting read only thing it does not work!

GRAPHIC TUTORIAL:Make one copy of you're cave story folder, paste cave editor's files into it,
Step 2:Go back to the folder icon on the drive, right click, and click on properties,
then just click the read-only box and press apply: that will make EVERY file in the whole folder not read-only.
Step 3:Right click Cave-Editor, and open it with Admin rights.(This is how i always start cave-editor)
Step 4:Open you're mod's doukutsu.exe with cave-editor, then click on the settings button.
Step 5Change pbm to whatever you want) Click on the "(C) Pixel)" button, that makes it so you dont have to add the text (C) pixel to the file with notepad or a hex editor.
Step 6:Close settings, click file and then save, and you're all set!
And tip:Make sure the graphics fit in the right spaces for the NPC's.

He means he wants to make there be three save slots. fadoink, you already asked Noxid this on the King's Story thread, and he told you it requires some assembly hacking, which I do not recommend delving into right now for someone as early on in modding as yourself.

From what Noxid said, "TitleScreenHack" (A file included i guess?) is probably his 3 save title screen hack.
Its up to you to figure out the Doukutsu Hackinstaller, i dont know how to use it/have never used it.

Also, noxid say's you need to give him credit to use it in the mod, in the topic.

I think that you make a copy of you're beta mod(if you mess up you're only copy you have to restart), open the copy of doukutsu.exe with the hackinstaller, and the titlescreenhack patch, and then select something to patch it, i havent used the hack installer yet.
