What, no turbocharge?

Nice mod. Alas, I suck without the spur.

yeah the no turbo charge makes you have to land in the 3rd map instead of going straight up

 

Here's a cheat from a pro:

Spoiler

Hold down Jump while shooting the machine gun. You'll raise higher. In this way, you can simply press the button somewhat slower, so you could recover 1 or 2 points of ammo. Turbocharge REALLY isn't needed, unless you're fighting ballos without the sword.

I haven't been trying this mod recently, but I'm certain I can reach the end soon... I probably wont be given a chance to edit this post with the results, though...

Indeed. Not only that, the download is missing key data fragments, much like most of the Mods downloadable on that site, so it's impossible to play most of them.

The idea is to copy and paste over a copy of the original english cave story files. Unless you are talking about something else?

Maybe you should include a readme.txt file in each zip file to avoid confusion.
