Glest takes on an impressively immersive environment. It is a free real-time-strategy game, in the same vein as chess, go, and StarCraft.
You control workers who mine gold and stone, and use these resources to construct buildings and create warriors. You also need to build energy buildings which provide energy for your army and buildings to survive. The goal is to overrun your opponent using your larger army.
The game features some really cool flying units, such as airships and ornithopters (mechanical airplanes that have flapping wings).
