Feel free to suggest games we should consider adding to this list and any original release date you can find.

Though not as well known as the games MetaSeraphim listed...

Umihara Kawase- 12/23/94
(Release date from here- http://umihara.badlose.com/images/notpr0n/images/cm.jpg)

And of the 8 Superior Sources that weren't mentioned earlier (NA Release dates from Wikipedia)...

Legend of Legaia- 3/17/99
(Could've sworn I saw this listed above, but after looking a 2nd & 3rd time through, oh well)

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic- 7/15/03
(Maybe I'm the only one who would bring this game up...)

Threads of Fate- 7/18/00
(A fanmade "sequel" was made called Duo Princess, which sounds oddly similar to TOF's original title, Dewprism)

InuYasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale- 4/10/2003
(They still made PS1/PSX games back then?! This was released slightly over 3 months apart from SW:KotOR)

Azure Dreams- 6/30/98
(Also attempted the 2D characters in a 3D world approach, but didn't get as much recognition as Grandia or BoF3)

EDIT: Here's some more to list

FATE (By WildTangent)- 5/18/05 (Wikipedia)
(Surprisingly enough, there really WAS a 1st person shooter game going to be called Fate, but the company making it went bankrupt...)

Halo: Combat Evolved- 11/15/01 (Halopedia)

2nd EDIT: How dare I forget these?! (Both release dates from Wikipedia)

Eye of the Beholder- 1990
(I guess I thought I had to list the ENTIRE date of release, otherwise this would've been on the top of the post)

Dungeon Master- 1987
(Some say this game is the precursor of Doom.)

I still may add more here later.

How 'bout some more ancient stuff? Like
Ultima I - 2/9/80
Not that I know much about Ultima or anything ._.

I also sense a disturbing lack of
Lufia & the Fortress of Doom - 25/6/1993 (December 1993 for uncertain American release date)
And the Mario RPG series, which effectively started with
Super Mario RPG - 13/5/1996
Or you could stick in the Paper Mario series if you prefer.

Also, Aesthetics: The original in the Mother series (aka Earthbound) was released on 27/6/1989, if that's what we're after.

Others I can think of but can't be bothered to look up:
Ratchet & Clank
Donkey Kong Country
Banjo-Kazooie
La-mulana
A whole bunch of FPS like Half life
A whole bunch of isometric games like Fallout
Age of Empires
A whole bunch of racing games like LEGO RACERS/Ridge Racer
Metal Slug
Contra
Advance Wars
Ogre Battle
etc.

Yikes! So many games to add descriptions for. Keep them coming, but I doubt we'll add all of them right away. We'll most likely have to divide it into a primary and secondary list of games to add first or we'll probably never get done adding them all! lol

Here's a thought though. If there are some games that you really, really want to see on the primary list of added games, why not write up a short description / summary about the game. That'll save us time of having to come up with each and every one ourselves.
