After so much focus on how videogames are harmful to kids, here's a different kind of focus. Videogames help kids relax before getting surgery more than holding their mom's hand or teddy bears, so it said.

Who would have guessed...

 

I would be relaxed too if I played call of duty before a surgery.

Yup, MG's been around for quite a while.

No, we're intrigued by the fact that this was a thread from 2004.

That said, what's the first thread posted on MG? At the bottom there, it says vBulletin has been around about two years longer than MG, so it might've had a forum even when it was new. Heck, it might have been powered by somebody else for a while, or just not at all. You know, I'm gonna go search for it.

Edit: Okay, the earliest post I could find is RIGHT HERE.
Now, keep in mind that that's the sixtieth post made on the forums. Posts 1-59, at least that I found, were a mix of deleted posts and posts made in a restricted or hidden section.

Well, no. But now we can say that the forums are even more dead than we said they were before. Over the last YEAR, we've gone through most every topic of discussion we could think of. Imagine what the forum did for the OTHER FOUR YEARS.

At least we can say it died of natural causes.
