I don't keep up with new releases so much, but even if I did my game of the year would have to be Revolver360 Re:actor. My obsession with shmup games aside, it's an incredibly impressive experience. Also for the record, last year's would be Anodyne.

Seriously though, I think Smash Bros for Wii U should be game of the year.

Smash Bros, ORAS and Shovel Knight are my top three, though I could probably do a top 5. Distance finally came out two weeks ago and hooked me as soon as I bought it. high-speed driving stuff like that is my jam.
