I am starting this thread for everyone on a mac.
I know there are LOOOOTS of people with windows, and they all have very good mods, unlike the mac. I think that the mac-lovers have to get a change to get their mods too... well... i don't really have them myself, but if i figure out how to, then i also start modding. but for now, i ask every mac-owner that knows how to mod cave story for mac, to post their mods on this thread. i hope that there are several mac-owners very happy now! like this: :( or even this: :p *cough*

Unhandled exception occurred: There are no mods for Mac because there is no editor for Mac.

Thread terminated.

BUT WAIT!

I use a mac!
But I have windows parallels, so I just run everything there.
Except regular cavestory, I like version 1.0.0.0 better than 1.0.0.4

Mods can run using Wine.

That is, if your Mac isn't "outdated".

Yep, unfortunately there's no editor for Mac. All you can really do is pick up a copy of Windows and set up Bootcamp, which I would suggest doing anyways to have access to both operating systems.

Why exactly do you need an editor? Why can't you just do it by hand?

It'd be insanely time-consuming, and boring. You could try it yourself, if you wanted.

But there's no CS mods for the mac that I've heard of.

I don't think you understand what it is to mod by "hand".

The editors speed up the process, but doing it with just, say, a hexadecimal editor, would make it take 10x or so longer depending.

Or even better, make an editor for the Mac.

I'm not acting sarcastic or anything. If you're willing to put the time into the field of programming then you may very well open up new possibilities for modding.
