Okay thanks, and I already have steam

UPDATE! It still shows the error message, maybe it’s because I have the Mac version of steam? It said I already had steam when I downloaded it and when I opened it, it just went to my game library.
Well it won't work using steam mac. Install the Windows version of steam with PlayOnMac, then add it as a non steam game.

Posting record now. Congrats. Never would of thought of abusing horiz/vert triggers.

I kinda figured that bug out on my first play-through, it saved about 8 seconds of time if I went through the normal route. I enjoyed the mod, it was challenging to say the least and it allowed me to get motivated to do a world record speedrun of it. I dont think anyone will be able to beat my time, hell I cant even beat my own time with TAS. The only concern I have is that there is no boss health meter, other than that I have no problems with it.

Speaking of no boss meter, I couldn't fix it. That's why there is no boss meter.
Eh, I can understand that. I've had problems with my own mod like that and having to cut some content completely.

The fastest time I ever got (normal, just play testing) was 1'39'0 or something in the 1'39 range. That's with the spur, too.
I did not have the spur, otherwise I would have used it. But it is called the fireball challenge for a reason.

Dab why would you not clearly state that this is a TAS?

like how at 0:48 do you even do that double frame perfect turnaround fireball shot RTA?

this along with the super crisp movement during the sisters fight and just the insanity of how close you were to getting hit right here:

I don't know how fast you shot the press at 1:02 but I'm going to assume it was frame perfect... or at least as close as possible because I don't know how cooldowns work in CS, but I do know that getting more than 16 inputs per second is impossible for most people it's impossible to go above 25 per second.

I'm calling BS on this either way.

also, you should be able to fix the missing boss hp bar with <BSLxxxx where xxxx is the event number of the entity that is being fought, iirc

Maybe I'll fix it in 1.1. This update will not effect general level design, so speed run times should be allowed to transfer.
That dephends, even some small map edits can affect runs, even if it's just a few miliseconds.

Something I seemed to notice that was there was no real way to choose the difficulty before playing when I started the game.
Snooped around the files, nothin. Which is strange, because within the HardMode video shown in Page 2 (the one we're in) there was a way to infact choose difficulty.
This kinda sucks considering I was going to try for the Normal record.
