screw you guys and your outdoors obsession it's called Cave Story.
Egg Corridor?+Last Cave (Hidden)+Plantation|Sand Zone

 

Outer Wall is good because of Moonsong, which is one of the best tracks in Cave Story. It's also good because you're admiring Quote's determination not to give up.

For a more rounded love of a level... Waterway. Nice breather, nice music, nice to be immune to drowning, and the whole time you're thinking "WTF do I do now?".

I mean, plotwise.

After all, you've been told by Booster that you need to destroy the Core to defeat the Doctor. You fought the Core, beat it, and then victory was snatched from your grasp. You're left wondering "well, what now?"

 

well, so i'll pursue them by looking for this "laboratory".
i know it's not in the labyrinth, and then there's this grate that was removed that i can now go through and so maybe it leads somewhere good.

Yes, Curly's death adds to the "WTF now?" feeling. I forgot to mention it.

 

Since there isn't another thread like this one and there is not a point in making another one I am going to post here.

I like the roof area, whatever the offical name is. I found it to be peaceful and mysterious.

 

hmm though one i like most area's so a favorite one is hard to choose.
but i guess Balcony.
because like said before it is a nice mood setter just before the final boss battles.(I see the heavy press and Ballos as additional bosses instead of plot important ones).

 

The Balcony Wiimix was one of the few one's I thought capured the intent of the original song.

 

Labyrinth and the Waterway are both my favorite. I guess it's the whole entire Labyrinth since I like Core as well.

 

The ruined Egg Corridor.
It's the first time you grasp the true horror of Doctor's plans. Ruins, Horrified music, shattered eggs, ZOMBIE DRAGONS CRYING BLOOD.
But the best thing is the end. You enter the egg room and see the last egg missing, with the computer reporting a hatch. Kazuma emerges from the shadows, hopeless and desperate. He makes you aware of how much things suck, and give you one last chance to give up, one last chance to escape...
One last chance to betray the girl you promised to leave the island with way back in that very same room...
All while one of the most subtlely beautiful tracks plays.

 

I liked the Egg Corridor, Egg Corridor?, Balcony and that room before the Core.

The only area I didn`t like is the Waterway.
