(This is a sequel to The New Demon. It is set a week after the Black Crystal was... destroyed. Considering calling this a trilogy, starting with Cave Story, going through New Demon, and ending with this. This is incomplete, of course.)
Inside the Crown Holder's Castle... Nothing seemed to brake this endless silence on top of the island. Noone thought the Doctor deserved a proper burial, so they had left him to rot. Besides this corpse, there was a presence in the room. A dark shape emerged from the floor. It formed into a shape it was accustomed to, and walked over to the Doctor. Placing the remains of the Doctor's own creation next to it's previous owner, the darkness spoke to the remains of the Red Crystal. Surprisingly to anyone who might have seen this besides the darkness itself, the crystal spoke back.

Sakamoto House...
"Any news about how the village has been doing since we last heard?" Sue asked. She, Curly, and Quote were all staring at the face in the screen, directed at them from Arthur's House in Mimiga Village. Jack replied, "Not many people really know what happened fully. They understand that a new force tried to take over the island, but not who, why, and when we started allowing an ancient, evil magician to pop out of nowhere and walk along the town." Quote and Curly knew that Ballos no longer meant harm to the island, but not everyone up in the village could understand. Suddenly, they heard a noise come from the computer. Jack cried out, falling, and the computer turned black.
