What am I supposed to understand? That this is just another Everyone Is Jesus In Purgatory story in the form of a game? And yes, that's exactly what this and every other similar game is. It just shows you some pretty images and lets you interpret it in any way you want. The difference between this and the other genres you mentioned is that they have actual gameplay (and actual story) and thus worth my time. If I wanted to see art, I'd go to a museum. And if I wanted to play such game, I'd go for The Company Of Myself (which has both story and gameplay worth talking about) or Shade (which is about the same as EDTSD, but beautifully written).Schokobecher said:Well,
you just fail to understand it.
We have seen so many RTS so many FPS so many Platformer...
Why bothering.

It's possible that the author had a point to make when he was creating the game, however there is a slight problem with making a point that nobody knows what it is, and I believe we all know what the problem is. There is this literary concept of "Death of the Author" that states that anyone's interpretation of said work is as valid as its own author's. Then there's the fact that this game is supposed to be art, and as we all know, true art is incomprehensible, and thus open to interpretation. And finally, if you want to make a point, why not do it in a more comprehensible way?Captain Fabulous said:The creator must have had some point to make, not just whatever I think it is. He didn't make up a random series of events and say "You guys interpret this however you want." He was trying to say "YOUR LIFE IS MONOTONOUS. YOU ARE STUCK IN A RUT. EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE IS THE SAME. BE SPONTANEOUS AND DIFFERENT, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY. ALSO, SUICIDE LULZ." Or something to that effect.
