Just a simple question: If I would do an editor, who would be interested to be a beta tester? Because I'm toying with the idea in the last time to do another editor, this time with a better GUI and layout, which is more like the one in Sue's Workshop.

The beta tester should have got some time to point out bugs, and give me ideas for new features and should also be able to give me hints to make the GUI better, they should be also longer online than just 1 - 2 hours. I need beta testers who have got ICQ or AIM or MSN or YIM or who are often in the Cave Story IRC. It would be also nice if you got a middling pc.

I am on here more often than anyone else but I have never used an editor, never Beta tested before, I am at work for alot of the time, I overlook things sometimes and I don't use ICQ, AIM, MSN, YIM or IRC.

I could try helping with the GUI if you want.

Is this a new version of king's(KAH)?

List of things DB would love to see but could never possibly do himself:
  • The abbility to change which map is the Intro.
  • Change the length of the intro.
  • Double-click tileset editor.
  • Automatic script filler-inner... Like in Macromedia's Dreamweaver, have a little drop down to pick from, then another one with valid ranges.
  • Used flag list.
  • A sprite editor.
  • A tileset eyedropper.
  • A mass tileset lasso... Copy a whole map, sans the entities.
  • Maybe a few sample code bits where you just pick what you want it to do (give item X and show an open chest...)

These are a few thing's I'd find useful...

This will be a only windows editor (sorry linux and mac guys). It will be much based on Sue's Workshop and I will use a "lame" windows old skool style, like that:

diph.php

diph.php

It won't be one I'm 99% sure.

Edit: I don't think I need images for the GUI now, sorry. :o But if I need some I'll tell you.

Whats a GUI?

Well, things I'd find useful would be changing intro map number, rearrange maps so that it will be more convinient (Of course the script will be changed manually).

Lame attempt at explaining by myself:
"Graphical User Interface" (GUI) is the visual side to a program and its functions, sorry if I can't explain it any better.

You know the rest.
The idea of Beta testing is to use the program in order to search for bugs, no hacking or programming skills needed. Unless I am wrong here but I don't think so.

I have exams every term. Four terms a year, Each term 3 months.

Ontop of that, Midyear exams cause I'm Sec 2 and End of year.

That makes it a total of 6 exams. With the amount of subjects I have, exams total up to a high 42 or 49 exams. Which just totally sucks.

Also, I have class tests and weekly tests WHICH BLOODY @#$%ING SUCK!!!!!!!
