I just assume you get used to it. It doesn't really look that awkward to me.

 

the biggest issue I see is that you can't really get any leverage in it like the SNES controller (it's too big) and there's nothing to really grip like the Playstation/ Xbox controllers

at least it's not as bad as the original xbox controllers which were honestly abysmal

It works great, and I quote:
