Em, actually, rune left me some of his notes, and that includes the jump boots.
It feels like cheating to copy his code though, so I'll give you a quick summary.

set it to 2 so you can boost just once.

That appears to be your "fuel" for booster 0.8... Not really what i was looking for. Tho, still useful information thanks lace.
